A Tradition of Faith

Fort Myers Christian School was established in 1979 by First Assembly of God of Fort Myers. Serving grades K4-8th in a Christian based academic setting, it is our goal that each student be academically and spiritually successful. We believe this can only be fully attained through a combined effort of the home, school, and church. FMCS is fully accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

FMCS embraces a traditional approach to the elementary and middle school curriculum. Strong emphasis is placed on phonics, critical thinking skills, study habits and a disciplined approach to learning.

Mission Statement

Fort Myers Christian School works with the home and church to spiritually nurture and academically train students to become productive citizens impacting others for Jesus.

Our Core Values

Church Icon

Faith & Love

We believe and teach our students that our foundation is built on Jesus and on God’s spoken word, the bible. John 14:6 states, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” One of the main reasons why parents choose FMCS is because they know the teachers and staff love their children. In turn, our desire is to teach students to love others. John 13:34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Shield Icon

Integrity

Abraham Lincoln said “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” God is truth and from his Word come absolute truths for us to live and model. It is a blessing to work with young people of great character. 3 John 1:4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Trophy Icon

Excellence

A daily goal for each staff, faculty and student is not to settle for the norm, or the average, but to reach for higher standards and give our best. Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men”

Hands Holding a Heart Icon

Service

Students at FMCS from PK to eighth grade are actively involved with serving others locally and around the world through our Mission 24:40 program. Matthew 23:11, “The greatest among you will be your servant.”

Testimonials

“After homeschooling our children for four years, we decided to transition them into a traditional school setting and sought a school that would align with and support our values. Following extensive research on Christian schools in the area, and much prayer and discussion, Fort Myers Christian School emerged as the clear choice. Our experience has been exceptional with the staff and families we have met over the years enriching our lives. Our older two children, now in high school, still reflect on the outstanding teachers and memorable experiences they had during their time at FMCS. Our youngest child currently in 3rd grade, is thriving and looks forward to attending school every day. We are blessed to be part of the FMCS community.”

“We are so glad we chose Fort Myers Christian School for our children’s elementary and middle schools. The teachers and administrative staff truly care about our children’s education and well-being. We remember during orientation the message relayed was that the staff at Fort Myers Christian School wanted us to feel like we were “at home.” They definitely provide that environment and for that we feel so thankful and blessed.”

“I wanted to express my appreciation for FMCS’s significant impact on Elijah and Naomi last year. The staff showed dedication, passion, and guidance towards their spiritual, academic, and personal growth. The kids miss the school dearly, and so do I. Moving has shown us that finding schools and teachers with academic excellence is challenging. Thank you for everything that has been done and will be done in many children’s and their families’ lives. God bless you all!!!!”

“My name is Christine Swiersz. My husband, Tom, and I have had the great blessing of having all four of our daughters graduate from Fort Myers Christian School. The sixteen consecutive years our four daughters have attended FMCS have impacted our family and each of our lives in ways that words can never describe. All six of us have been changed for a lifetime. We have grown in our relationships, in our academic strengths, and, most of all, in our faith. Our children have grown exponentially in their faith in amazing ways, and so have my husband Tom and I!”

“I’m a proud alumni of FMCS. I loved everything about my time as an Eagle! When it came time to choose a school for our son, there was no place else we would rather send him. We look forward to seeing him grow during his time at FMCS!”

“I just want to let you know that once again FMCS has made an excellent choice with the additional security personnel. I spoke briefly with one of the security detail this morning and I was impressed with his background, professionalism and commitment to keep our kids safe. He has the perfect attitude. Any and all resources placed in security is 100% the best investment considering the environment we are in today. Thanks again for your brave and correct decision!”

“I decided to send Emma to FMCS because, I wanted her to grow up with a solid Christian foundation. I knew that at FMCS she would not only receive a great academic education, but also a great faith-based education as well. I loved my time at FMCS and know a lot of the staff from when I attended. Starting school this year is unlike any year before and I knew that I could trust FMCS to keep her safe and allow her to learn and grow while still having fun. I had no doubts that Emma would be in good hands and would be loved by all of the school personnel.”

“FMCS has been such a blessing to my daughter Amanda and her family. Our grand-daughter is flourishing there. Mrs. Rosie has such patience and a true love for what she does, positively affecting these children. Because Mrs. Rosie noticed my granddaughter has a gift for singing worship, she began singing lessons this year and just performed her first recital. Thank you for having Mrs. Rosie as a teacher there, she is such a blessing.”
